Stark Skin Care Green Tea Detox Clay Mask - Review

How long have I been using it?

Once a week for the last few months

How does it preform?

This is a great mask, it makes my skin feel great. It's easy to put on and take off. I don't know if I notice any improvement on my skin but I do enjoy the clean feeling I get after using.

Scent: Smells a bit like apples/lime with a hint of earthiness. Very subtle and pleasant.

Packaging?

It's a powder in a glass jar. You add water to the powder to create a paste which I really like because you can make the mask as thick or as thin of consistency as you want.

How long does it last?

I think it will last quite a while since this isn't an everyday use product, I'm sure it will last for months.

Where do I get it? I purchased direct from their website I haven't looked to see if it's available anywhere else. They are Canadian company as well.

www.starkskincare.com

Repurchase?

I like it a lot, but it's not the be all and end all for me, and since I'm in the business of always trying something new for review I don't know if I'd repurchase this any time soon, but I do think I would buy again defintely a reasonable priced all around good product.

Ingredients:

Moroccan Rhassoul Lava Clay, French Green Clay, Green Tea Extract, Apple Fruit Extract, Lime Fruit Extract.

John Masters Organics Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Milk - Review

How long have I been using it?

I received a sample from Hip Apotheca when I put through an order on their site. It was in one of those sample packs that you rip open and I squeezed it all into an empty 1/2oz jar I had.

How does it preform?

Since I just had the sample pack, I used this mainly on my hands. I'm a pretty harsh judge when it comes to moisturizers because I have pretty dry skin on my body, which is the complete opposite to the skin on my face and I have never really found anything that can make my hands better than what they currently are which is dry. I like to call them old lady hands, even though I'm only in my 20's.

This definitely absorbs really quickly, which is key for me since I work on a computer all day and I need to be able to apply moisturizers that sink in so I can get right back to typing after. It does an ok job for my hands but it doesn't last as long as I would like. I would say I would have to re-apply 2 or 3 times during the work day.

It's a very thin consistency fairly on the liquid-y side.

Scent:

Orange-y and Vanilla-y. I can't stand the scent, it's too strong for me and it stays on my hands too long, which I hate.

Packaging?

I believe the regular size of this comes in a pump bottle, which I prefer for moisturizers, or for anything really, as you may have already figured out I'm not a huge fan of sticking my fingers into a pot or jar.

How long does it last?

I still have some of my sample left and I've been using it pretty regularly for about 2 weeks. I usually only apply this to my hands during the work day.

Where do I get it?

www.hipapotheca.com which has a free shipping if you spend a certain amount deal for both Canadians (yea!) and the US. I know some spas and salons carry John Masters as well and you can get this from them direct at johnmasters.ca (for those Canadians out there yea! they have a separate Canadian site!) or from johmasters.com

Repurchase?

No, based mostly on the scent, it's just too strong for me. It's also just not up to what I need for my skin.

Tata Harper Refreshing Cleanser - Review

How long have I been using it?

I used the entire bottle in about 1 month

How does it preform?

At first I wasn't convinced this was as good as everyone says it is, but now I'm a convert. My skin seemed healthier and just better overall. I've got blemish prone, oily skin and it definitely didn't cause any breakouts. I would say it's good for any skin type, although I've never had really dry skin, but it's not stripping, and my skin feels healthy and moisturized after using it.

It has a creamy consistency

Scent:

Lovely. Not overwhelming, which is what I like. I can't do strong scents. The scent fades after using this fairly quickly. I would say it had a sweet citrus-y type scent.

Packaging?

Glass pump bottle, which I love! I like that I know it's clean and I can recycle the bottle and the pump means I don't have to put my fingers in a jar.

How long does it last?

I used the recommended 1-2 pumps in the AM and PM pretty much everyday, and 1 50ml bottle lasted approx a month for me. Which makes this an expensive cleanser at 50$ USD for 1 50ml bottle.

Where do I get it?

I purchased mine at www.spiritbeautylounge.com but can also be purchased from them directly www.tataharperskincare.com

Repurchase?

I would yes, based on the product itself, it's one of the best cleansers I've used in a long time, but it's not something I could use all of the time because of the price. Buying anything online and having it shipped to Canada already adds extra cost and with this being the most expensive cleanser I've ever used it's just not feasible for me to be buying all the time.
